A personal journal about the quest to complete PIGs (projects in grocery bags) and other craft related projects. I am using this blog as a way to document the tangible results and inspire others to do the same.

10 more knit hats done
I have been busy working on knit hats for Delaware HeadHugger group. Their Facebook page mentioned the need for hats for men so I pulled some neutral yarns and worked up a few. I love the red sparkly hat with the hearts. It is sure to bring a sparkle to some girl's eye.

Busy work
My husband had open heart surgery on Friday. I took my needles and yarn to stay busy during the long hours. I completed six more Finn's Hats, however I gave two away to nurses for their kids. I got bored doing the something repeatedly over and over, so I started knitting some baby boy hats for one of the OR nurses who is due Feb. 12th.

Finn's Hat
OI fell in love with the story and concept of "A Boy Named Finn". I am committed to knitting copies of Finn's Hat for the Children's Hospital in Orlando.

#5 PIG done - QuiltMagic purple star
Such a nice change of pace. No sewing, no glue. Just cut out the pieces of fabric and match them to the precut foam board.

#4 done
First PIG of the new year completed. I had this yarn in my stash and worked up this set while resting up from our holiday travels. The hat is worked with 1:1 ribbing and then 1:3 ribbing to 8". At that point I P1, K2tog, K1, repeat around to beg. Next row, continue in pattern. Next row P1, K2tog, repeat around to beg. K2tog. Thread end through stitches and tie off.
